MyMedicare
If you are a Pensioner, Healthcare Card Holder, Registered CTG, DVA or a child under 16, you will be Bulk Billed under the MyMedicare scheme from November 2023. Please register with MyMedicare online through the MyGov portal, you can learn more about this here. Alternatively, reception has physical registration forms that can be filled out at the front desk.
FLU VACCINES
Flu Vaccines are now available at Dapto Healthcare. To ensure that we can provide flu vaccines to as many of our patients as possible we will be administering the vaccine in clinics. However, if you already have an appointment with a doctor and would like to get your flu vaccine please ask the doctor if they have time to give this to you.
Free flu vaccines are provided by the government to individuals who meet the criteria below:

Children between 6 months and 5 years

All Aboriginal persons above the age of 5 years

All persons over the age of 65 years

People over 5 years old with medical risk factors predisposing them to severe influenza

Pregnant women
If you do not meet the above criteria you will need to book with a doctor to get a script for the flu vaccine. You will need to get this filled at the pharmacy and then return with the vaccine so that the nurse may administer it. If you have any questions or would like to book in for the flu vaccine, please give us a call.
COVID 19 VACCINE BOOSTERS NOW AVAILABLE
Individuals 18 years and older who have had two doses of a Coronavirus vaccination are now eligible to receive a third dose to increase their immunity. This third booster dose is administered a minimum of 3 months after the second vaccination dose. Book with your GP if you are unsure if you are eligible or wish to discuss if this is right for you.
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS
Telephone consultations are available for those who have attended a face-to-face consultation with one of the doctors within 12 months. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please phone the surgery to confirm.
MY HEALTH RECORD
The Australian Government has legislated that a My Health Record will be created for all Medicare and Department of Veterans' Affairs card holders in Australia by the end of 2018, Unless they choose not to have one.
My Health Record is an online summary of your key health information such as medical conditions,medicines,allergies and test results in one place.
If you are happy for a My Health Record to be created for you by the end of 2018, you don't need to do anything. If you would like to learn more about My Health Record and it's benefits,or about how to inform the government that you don't want a My Health Record,visit myhealthrecord.gov.au
There will be a three month period commencing 16 July 2018 when you can inform the Government of your choice to opt out of the My Health Record system.This period has not yet started.If you would like to register for when it does commence,please visit myhealthrecord.gov.au.
